Jewelry Design; Where Do I get Inspiration?

This Chrysocolla Pendant started when I fell in LOVE with the cabachon found in Tucson last year. I purchased 2 of them, both the same size and each with slightly different composition. The stone is primarily chrysocolla but it contains cuprite too. (this provides the reddish color).

Once I had decided on the perfect setting and bail, I found that the traditional stainless or sterling link chain did not add any pizazz to the pendant. So my next trip to Tucson, I took the finished pendant with me in search of another solution. The amazonite gemstones and a touch of burgundy colored cultured pearls saved the day!

The inspiration started with a gorgeous gemstone and grew from there!
