Gemstone Slab Collection. A Tale of Sharing

This is one of my favorite collections!
The Slab gemstones are the focal point of the piece and range in size from 1″ tall to a whopping 3″ tall. This is a statement piece and is made for those who LOVE the Natural look. I use a variety of slabs for this work. Most are done in Onyx, Agate or Amazonite. Then I let the nature of the stone size and shape take over to help me plan the rest of the strand. Pearls and Silver are the most likely enhancements.

Stone Soup Legend Necklace

I named this collection ‘Stone Soup’ because these stones remind me of a parable that speaks to my heart. The story is written below.
Check out the Web site for the entire One-of-A-Kind Slab Collection.

A hungry traveler entered a village. The villagers hoarded what little they had to eat. So the traveler filled a large iron pot with water from the nearby stream and threw in several stones. He placed the pot in a fire ring near the edge of town. Curious villagers appeared.  “What are you cooking?” they asked. “Stone Soup” he replied. “Try some!” The first taster declared that it needed more flavor. He brought back a carrot from his house and placed in the pot. One by one the villagers each added something to the pot until the soup became rich and delicious… a wonderful meal for all to eat. Including the traveler!
Wear the jewelry as a reminder; What we share will enrich our life as well as those around us.

  1. I absolutely agree with you. These Slab gemstones are amazing. The design of this jewelry is so beautiful. I hope I can purchase this for my wife someday.
