Etching with Salt Water and Batteries Part Two

I want to show off the first piece I created using this process. The previous post has more details on the etching.

I made sure the brass was etched even deeper by putting the piece BACK INTO the solution for another 1 1/2 hours. This made all the difference. The design was much deeper and NOW I wanted to make something to wear! I cleaned off the mask with a special solution and then ran the brass and a clean, softened (annealed) piece of copper in the rolling mill

The piece you see here is the result! I love it! And I am wearing it today!!

Once the design was transferred to the copper, I shaped it, cut it and added the Vinegar and ammonia patina to give that greenish color.

What do you think? I will be playing with this process more in the future.
